Fees may be fixed, hourly or milestone-based depending on the nature of the work. Pricing information provided is indicative until an engagement agreement is executed.

Payments can be made by methods agreed in the engagement letter. Invoices are payable within the period specified in the invoice. Outstanding balances may accrue interest or collection costs as permitted by law.

Where subscription services are offered, renewal and cancellation terms will be set out in the subscription agreement. Automatic renewal may apply if stated in the agreement, subject to notice and termination provisions.

Refunds for paid services are handled in accordance with the terms of the engagement. Refund decisions take into account the nature of the service provided, work performed and any non-recoverable costs.

Clients may cancel services as specified in the engagement agreement. Charges for work performed up to the cancellation date and reasonable winding-down costs may apply.

Prices and fees may be exclusive of taxes. Clients are responsible for any applicable taxes, duties or levies imposed by relevant authorities unless stated otherwise.

TechNowLegal may adjust fees from time to time. For ongoing engagements, changes will be communicated in advance and applied as specified in the engagement terms.

Non-payment may result in suspension of services, retention of work product until payment is made, and other lawful remedies. We may also decline further work until accounts are current.

Termination of services

Either party may terminate an engagement in accordance with the termination provisions in the engagement letter. Termination does not affect accrued rights or obligations, including payment for services rendered.

On termination, outstanding fees and expenses become payable. We will return or securely store client materials as agreed and take steps necessary to close out the engagement in an orderly manner.

Privacy and data protection

Our handling of personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy. Clients should review that policy for details on data collection, use, retention and rights. We apply administrative and technical measures appropriate to the nature of the data processed.
